UME DOES NOT SET OUT TO BE AUTHENTICALLY ANYTHING. IT IS ITS OWN CONCEPT WITH ITS OWN ARTISTIC AND CULINARY DIRECTION.
ume was created and conceptualized by the founder, who was born in manhattan, raised in tokyo and grew up in brooklyn. ume is inspired by her travels- the experience and flavors she discovered from the places she's visited.
The founder designed ume personally, from the menu to the interior to the artwork displayed at ume.
with a love for good food and passion for great art, she created ume- food inspired by art.
